基本上，大多數的技師甚至是店家，都搞不懂通風碟盤
該怎麼裝，重點是要先看碟盤中間的導風肋的走向！
通風碟盤的散熱風向，是在碟盤運轉時會由中心抽入，
再由碟盤邊緣的散熱孔排出，所以若導風肋是傾斜式的
，不管畫線溝的方向是往前還是往後，導風肋就要裝成
順向才是正確的，很多人都誤以為導風肋要往車頭方向
撞風才能散熱，而搞不懂氣流的原理，真的是錯得離譜。
而導風肋所謂的順向，則是由碟盤中心起算，往車尾處
傾斜者。
而導風肋若是垂直形式的，則無所謂怎麼裝法，畫線溝
要往前還是往後就看個人喜好囉。若僅以畫線溝的方向來看，順裝的方式是較能將
來令粉塵給拋出，逆裝的話粉塵則會用飛散的。
而無論正裝逆裝，二者都能避免粉塵累積在來令
與碟盤間而降低制動摩擦力，並減少因粉塵累積
而產生的金屬摩擦異音。
但逆裝時的畫線共鳴聲，會較順裝時稍大一些。
至於，通風碟盤與鑽孔碟盤的差異何在？
盤面鑽孔的主要功能，只是要增加散熱面積，並
無法增加制動力，而粉塵的排出效率也比畫線碟
為低。另外一個缺點就是在較大直徑的碟盤上，
很容易因鑽孔時的應力集中，而自孔邊出現龜裂
現象，尤其是經過熱處理強化，材質較硬的碟盤
若有鑽孔那幾乎都會龜裂，若沒龜裂則是該碟盤
未經熱處理強化，材質較軟之故。
